Whole-System HVAC Maintenance

Seasonal whole-system HVAC maintenance from HVAC Done Right, covering cooling in spring and heating in fall for homes across Austin, San Antonio, and nearby cities.

Open 24/7, every day

Whole-system HVAC maintenance covers the equipment that heats and cools your home across the full year, plus the parts they share: the blower, the ductwork, the thermostat, and the drain system.

If you only want cooling-season work before summer, see AC maintenance. If you would rather have seasonal visits scheduled for you as part of a membership, see our maintenance plans.

Spring visit: the cooling side

  • Condenser and evaporator coil condition and cleaning
  • Refrigerant charge verified by measurement
  • Capacitors, contactors, and motor amp draws
  • Condensate drain, trap, pan, and float switch
  • Airflow and temperature split across the coil

Fall visit: the heating side

  • Burner, igniter, and flame sensor condition on gas equipment
  • Heat exchanger inspection and flue and venting check
  • Pressure switches, limits, and safety controls
  • Heat pump reversing valve, defrost, and auxiliary heat staging
  • Temperature rise and blower performance

Shared items we check either visit

Filter type and fit, return air adequacy, accessible duct connections for obvious leakage or disconnects, thermostat programming, and electrical connections at the disconnect and air handler.

You get a written summary of what was measured and anything that is trending toward a failure, so repairs can be planned instead of scrambled for.

Frequently asked questions

How often should my heating and cooling equipment be serviced?
Twice a year is the standard for a full system: cooling in spring and heating in fall. A heat pump that runs year round benefits the most from that cadence.
How is this different from AC maintenance?
AC maintenance is a single cooling-season visit focused on the air conditioner. Whole-system maintenance covers both seasons and the shared components between them.
Will maintenance prevent every breakdown?
No, and we will not claim otherwise. It catches the wear items that cause most preventable failures and confirms your system is running to spec.
